Event Description

Charles Dickens is one of Britain's best-loved authors, and the vivid imagery of his writing has a unique capacity to stir up dark, magical and intense pictures. To mark the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens' birth, Foyles Gallery will be hosting a very special photographic exhibition centred round the author's work and life. The exhibition comprises striking images from Alex Werner's book Dickens's Victorian London and the finalists of the Guardian competition to find a new photographic cover for Oliver Twist, in association with Vintage Classics.
