Event Description

Duncan Forbes from the Scottish National Portrait Gallery will be discussing the reception history of the early Scottish photographers David Octavius Hill and Robert Adamson. Drawing on Walter Benjamin's fascination with their work, and some key Benjaminian concepts, he will be tracking the after-life of their collaboration, from the 1840s to the present day.
