A collection of historic images taken in the early 1900s by Franz Sebastian Haselbeck, a photographer of German descent whose ancestors moved to Limerick in the 19th Century, has gone on display for the very first time in the Hunt Museum at Limerick's Custom House.
The collection, which includes original prints and negatives detailing events in Limerick and the mid-west from the early 20th century, has been restored by the ESB Archives and Patricia Haselbeck, the photographer's granddaughter.
An accompanying lecture on the exhibition by Patricia Haselbeck-Flynn will be held on Friday 15th October at 1pm in the Captain's Room.
