The exhibition presents an overview of photography by Gerti Deutsch from 1935 to 1965 and offers a wide range of cultural and historical themes and aesthetic views. It also includes examples of her early works, such as portraits and images taken for Picture Post magazine.
Introductory talk at the opening by exhibition curator Kurt Kaindl. Further talks by Daniela Mrazkova, professional writer, editor, curator and founder of the Czech Press Photo competition. The opening of the exhibition will also be attended by Deutsch's two daughters, Nicolette Roeske (Germany) and Amanda Hopkinson (Great Britain), a multiple member of the International Jury Czech Press Photo.
