Event Description

Professor Paul Hill has said on his website "Ifor Thomas was an inspiring teacher who taught many well-known practitioners of the period and must be mentioned in any forum discussing British Photographic Education."

The late Professor John Hedgecoe wrote "I've known 4 great men in my life and Ifor Thomas was one of them ... also Robin Darwin, Jocelyn Stephens and Henry Moore."

The late Professor Bill Jay ( Arizona State University)  called Ifor

" .. an iconoclastic leader way ahead of his time."

Whilst 

Priscilla Conran says

" Ifor was certainly one of the most influential people in my life ... as a young student you felt that this man really knew about life  .... Guildford was a great seedbed for us all lucky enough to go there."
