Spanning forty years, from 1882 to 1922,Lucknow to Lahore will explore the particular vision of Fred Bremner, a Scottish commercial photographer. Bremner’s travels in the Indian subcontinent are recorded in these spectacular photographs.
Through Bremner’s eyes we invite the visitor to get a sense of the people and places of Imperial India. Using his words, the exhibition brings to life individual experiences and opinions about ‘that far-off land known as the Indian Empire’.
