Documents, legal documents, trade catalogues and printed ephemera can present a different history of photography. In this lecture Michael Pritchard shows examples of these and uses them to illustrate British photographic history from 1840 until the 1930s.
This talk is held in conjunction with the 2009 Let's Talk About Photography lectures promoted by the Photographic Materials Conservation Group of the Institute of Conservation.
This lecture was first given on 7 November at the British Library.
