Preventative Conservation of Photographic Materials (Theory). Ref: 100/2
An intensive five (5) days course covering the identification, causes of degradation, conservation treatment options, handling, exhibition and storage of historic and contemporary photographic materials. This course is aimed specifically for those with the care and responsibility for photographic collections: Keepers, Curators, Librarians, Conservators et al., enabling them to formulate and put in place an effective Preservation Policy for photographs.

The Identification of Photographic Processes. Ref: 100/4
An in-depth examination of the visual, process chemistry, material and degradation characteristics necessary for the identification of historic photographic processes. This intensive four-day course offers heritage professionals and others working with or collecting photography a unique opportunity to undertake a comparative study of original images from The Centre's Collections dating from the birth of photography, 1795 to the present day. This course will focus on all of the mainstream silver and non-silver negative and positive processes.
Clear guidelines will be given for the recognition of all processes examined including the confusing array of non-silver, erroneously called
