Everyone with an interest in 3D is invited to join us online for The Stereoscopic Society Annual Convention 7th - 9th May 2021.
Society members have been coming together since 1927 to share with each other their fascination and knowledge of stereoscopy. This year due to the Pandemic we are meeting online and invite everyone to join us.
Interesting historical 3D talks on early Stereophotographers in Australia and Sydney in 3D and a fascinating talk about the very British 3D collectable Vistascreen with guest appearances from Weetabix and others – the 3D system that inspired a budding rock star into 3D.
All this and the usual mix of 3D photographs and 3D videos from our members and stereophotographers around the world. Many presented as fascinating 3D Audio Visual shows or 3D Videos.
The highlights being the exhibition of our Annual Competition and an audience judged competition of short 3D shows.
A technical look into close-up and time lapse 3D photography will include 3D through the microscope showing 3D images of an amazing miniature world we never really see.
Check out the web site and register your interest to receive the relevant login details for the convention.
There will be opportunities to ask questions and socialise with other stereophotographers and people interested in 3D – this is the heart of our conventions and the history of the society.
