Trying to find information on Benjamin Foulkes Winks (b. 1861 in Islington – d. 10 Mar 1929 in Brentford, Middlesex).He is shown as a photographer in Walthamstow, East London in 1891.
In 1901 as a Manager – Photographic Manufactures in Wealdstone, Middlesex and Manager in Shop Retail and Wholesale in West Ealing in 1911.
I believe B F Winks was a patentee along with A.L. Adams of a twin lens reflex camera (A. Adams & Co. a camera maker based in Charing Cross Road, London?) and was elected a member of the RPS in 1900. I have mention that he made the cameras for Carnarvon's Tutankhamun expedition?
I think his parents were Henry (Albert) Winks, an Upholsterer and Frances Ann Woodward.

I can add some detail and new information. Foulkes-Winks was elected to membership of the Royal Photographic Society on 13 November 1900. He remained a member until his death in 1929.
A short obituary was published in the British Journal Photographic Almanac in 1930 and in the Photographic Journal in 1929. Foulkes-Winks was a director of Adams & Co at the time of his death and seems to have been running the company by then. Having just moved my BJPAs are currently in storage but I can scan the PJ obituary for you could let me have an email address.
