Information and discussion on all aspects of British photographic history
Does anyone have information on Charles Hewitt, who practiced and taught photography in London at the turn of the last century and then moved to Australia? We believe that one of his students was Florence Vandamm (1883 - 1964). We (New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, at which I am Curator of Exhibitions) have her collection bcause she moved to NYC in the 1920s and became a prominant theater photographer.
thank you in advance for any leads.
