Many of you know that I collect stereographica, and I was delighted last night whilst watching a lecture (https://www.gresham.ac.uk/…/the-19th-century-craze-for-ster…) to note this painting "Group of Women with stereoscope " It is by Jacob Spoel 1820-1868. The Rijksmuseum provides good quality public domain downloads, for which I am grateful. The painting dates to the year of his death. The stereoscope being used is a Brewster style viewer.
(Note the lecture I was watching was also on YouTube from Gresham College which exists only to provide free public lectures, I guess a form of TED Talks, but predates that 400 years!
