Modern tintype - for dissertation

Hi all,

I'm an MA History of Photography student at Birkbeck, though based in Edinburgh, and am currently researching modern tintype practices and practitioners. Wondered if there are any out there who'd be happy to share with me why they do what they do?

I'm keen to understand your reasons for taking up this traditional process, how you balance it with other processes (alternative or digital) if you do a combined practice, and what you feel is the importance of keeping the tintype process going.
