More early British stereos

Three more purchased  today from a country antique market.

One is an image that i would date as as 1850's to possibly 1860's of the PeaHen Commercial hotel in St Albans

Looking to try to identify both date and the photographer. I note the licence holder was a Mr Marks if that helps! (although Marks family held it from 1780 so perhaps not such a good clue!)
Can you help at all?
The next is of the same vintage but no label nor location

  • Thanks Paula for your excellent informed guess. Looking at some of the images I have seen online from your collection etc, Poulton is very likely the photographer.

Hi - My first guess is that this view is by Poulton based on mount, border of label, etc.  Many aren't credited.

The “unknown photographer or town” stereoview is of the Ancient House, Buttermarket, Ipswich. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_House,_Ipswich
