British photographic history

Information and discussion on all aspects of British photographic history

First of all an apology to Michael Pritchard and others, this discussion should really have been here rather than the Blog, so I am continuing it here.

The attached cropped images are from my collector friend's collection. They are from stereographs  of people involved with stereo in some way.

I will add another image where both Ron and I are unsure. It's called "The Inquisitive Maid". It is certainly an optical object, but is it a form of Brewster viewer?

No photographer nor publisher of views on the cards themselves .

We would welcome discussion on the topic

Hello Stephen

Pretty sure this is not a viewer - the maid is trying to read a letter , without opening it  , presumably sent to her mistress , there are a number of similar views .

Graham

Yes Graham, having reexamined the scan I think you are correct. Thanks
