C. L.: Trevi Fountain, Rome

Paper negative, 9 x 12-1/2 in. (229 x 318 mm), 1854c/1854c, unmounted. #12441.Initials 'C.L.' and the number 5 written on negative. Charles Lallemand was known to travel to extensively to various locations during this period. Also C.-L. Leblanc exhibited paper negatives. The BN's Sylvie Aubenas attributes a similar group with the same monogram to a Capitaine Louvel. A later group of 114 of these came up in an auction at Leclere in May 2011.The Trevi Fountain (Italian: Fontana di Trevi) is a fountain in the Trevi rione in Rome, Italy. Standing 25.9 meters (85 feet) high and 19.8 meters (65 feet) wide, it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world.
