Hi Brian, how're things going - are you keeping busy enough without DMU visits?

Your friend request is very timely. I was just thinking of you because I am trying to find some info. on the Combined Societies. I have posted a discussion thread here but had very little back. Have you heard of them? They originated in 1945, as a protest to what they saw as reactionary pictorialism in the RPS. They didn't last long (I think) but had the support of Gernsheim, Hugo Van Wadenoyen and others.

I may need to review the photographic journals from around this date. Do you have all the BJP and Photographic Journals?

Hope you're well.

Damian.

Hi Brian, that's a lovely idea, thank you. I can't remember the photographer, right now (Eugene Frank?) but remember the lovely image of a woman with a jug above her head used in 'Faking It'? I'd love that one, please. How are you doing?jx

Perhaps we should entertain the idea of a profile? Remembering, of course, to proffer one's better side!
Will be in touch and talk properly once this temping job is done and dusted - can't access email while I'm there.
