Vernon HEATH Photographer

AS well as looking for specific Francis Bedford photographs, I am also trying to track down some taken by Vernon HEATH in August 1860 to Endsleigh in Devon. These were exhibited quite widely at the time (London Photographic Society, Photographic Society of Scotland (5th Exhibition 1861), Blackheath Photographic Society talk, and so on. Tintern Abbey Photographs by Francis Bedford

Having moved and finally getting somewhat straight again, I am undertaking some research and looking for some very specific photographs to illustrate this. Amongst them are some photographs taken by Francis Bedford. These were taken in about 1859/60 and would probably be about 10" x 8". At the time they were praised in photographic exhibitions and this was reported in the press. Has anyone got any ideas if these specific photographs still exist and if so where I might get copies (digital files)…See More

"Don't worry about it. But Bedford is defintely a trail to follow. He photographed extensively in North Wales."

"Thanks Michael. No. 58 would certainly be of interest. Bedford seems to have visited North Wales on a number of occasions so anything by him is of interest, the only question being its date because I think that the vistis were spread over about 30…"
