With the recent 75th VE day interest a friend sent me a copy of this photo of her mother in the WRNS. It is taken by a French photographer Jacques Lemare, probably in London during WW2. It appears to be a B/W print that is hand coloured. Wikipedia states he has a career as a film cinematographer, and then later in TV. In 1938 he did  a film with Henri Cartier Bresson.
