"My researches into seaside photographers have turned up Havard Sims of 34 Marine Terrace, Margate. He appears to trade as a beach photographer as Uncle Sims. Have found him listed in 1929 and 1936 Kelly's directory for Thanet. Only a thought.…"

I am looking for information on Alfred Hugh Harman (abt 1841 in Kennington, Surrey, London – 23 May 1913 in Surrey, Sussex), who was a photographer and partner of Henry Dages and founded the Britannia Works, later Ilford Ltd in 1879.Is anything known about his marriage to Amelia Ann (or Margaret) Taylor in 1860. Henry George Mason

I have a query. photoLondon shows a Henry George Mason as having a studio at 145 Hammersmith Road, Hammersmith (1890 – 1891).Successors to J Malins; succeeded by Hampton & Co.Mr Mason seems to have been a Schoolmaster all his working life and lived in Islington, Tottenham and Walthamstow. I can find no other references that connect him to photography and wonder why he is shown as having a studio?If anybody has any answers, I would be grateful.See More

William M Emmett - Journalistic Photographer

I wonder if anybody has heard of William M Emmett (born 1871 in Leytonstone, Essex)?
