I was interested to read that you had contributed item to an exhibition about Edwin Smith. Perhaps I could explain my interest. I am a practicing architectural photographer, based near Edinburgh. I also studied architectural history at the University of Edinburgh. I am engaged in a project, which is to lead to an exhibition in Edinburgh City Art Centre in Spring 2019, for which I am reshooting and re-interpreting the 82 photographs made by Edwin Smith and published in 1966 in a book titled "The Making of Classical Edinburgh". This book, still in print, and Smith's photographs, were arguably the single most important events to stimulate the conservation of Edinburgh's Georgian New Town, now a World Heritage Site (along with the Old town).

I am therefore interested in Smith's work (I have a number of his books) and particularly interested to note that you had contributed a number of items to the exhibition mentioned elsewhere on this web site.
