I have just been sent a very poor photocopy of a published photograph of my great grandfather Henry Sutton, the photograph was published in an old Australian magazine and the printing quality is not very good. The photograph was taken in london around 1891/2 by Herbert Rose Barraud who was in Oxford St at the time. 1890's Halftone Photographic Process Companies London Research Help needed

I am travelling from Australia to London in July to do some research on my Great grandfather's company which produced halftone photograph's  for pubishing in newspapers, journals and books during the 1890's. The name of the photographic process was called Electro-phototypy, the name of the company was Sutton's Process Syndicate Limited and the company was run out of 4 Tokenhouse Buildings London and they had a premesis just around he corner from Fleet St (address unknown). Henry Sutton Exhibition Ballarat Victoria Australia 7-8 May 2011

I am pleased to announce that I have been asked by the City of Ballarat in Australia to do an exhibition on my great grandfather Henry Sutton 1856-1912 who was an Australian inventor.

Featured in the exhibition will be information about Henry's halftone photographic process called Electro-Phototypy and will include some published photographs of Henry's which were of Hale End in England. Photographic History 1890-1900 / Henry Sutton

I am researching my great grandfather Henry Sutton who was an Australian inventor. In the 1890s Henry lived in London and was a member of The London Camera Club.
