While at Schwartzenberg, Austria earlier this week for the annual Schubertiade, I was struck by the exhibition of ‘Art Photography’ by Peter Mathis, held in a room adjacent to the concert hall. Mathis is an Austrian born in 1961. His work is striking and very beautiful, seeming to be lithographs or paintings but photograph they are. To quote from his website…
