Held in its second year at The Grand Palais des Champs-Elysées, in the historic Beaux-Arts architecture world fair exhibition hall originally built for The Exposition Universelle of 1900, the fair will include 128 international galleries from 22 countries and 23 specialists of photography book publishers.
The United Kingdom’s galleries will include: Brancolini Grimaldi, Daniel Blau, David Zwirner, Eric Franck Fine Art, Gagosian, Hackelbury Fine Art, Hamiltons, James Hyman, Michael Hoppen Gallery, Paradise Row, Purdy Hicks, Robert Hershkowitz.
Programme events at Paris Photo 2012 will include Paris Photo Aperture Foundation Photo-book Awards and The Platform Programme, a structured critical discussion programme on the perspectives of photography with exhibitions that focus on "Recent Acquisitions", " Private Collection" and "Open Book" “ and talks by the panel experts on the "Platform".
The major photographic art fair, which attracts in excess of 50,000 visitors in four days, second in visitors numbers to Les Recontres des Arles, will be followed by the inaugural edition of Paris Photo Los Angles held at Paramount Pictures, which coincides with celebrating 100 years of Paramount Studios. Paris Photo Los Angeles will be held 24 - 28 April 2013.
