Information and discussion on all aspects of British photographic history

Hello All,
Going through my photo collection recently I discovered a scrap book with three calotype photos pasted in it. I then realised that this was a book where quite a few young ladies added

~$VEREND WILLIAM ELLIS 1795.docx their signature and the name of the location : RAWDON HOUSE. Having recently retired I started to investigate further.
I discovered that this was the house of William Ellis and his Wife who rented it to establish a school for girls.
I also remembered that William Ellis was a photographer and that some of his photos were printed by Calotypist Samuel Smith.
I therefore deduced that these photos were taken by W Ellis and printed by Samuel Smith?
I enclose scanned copies of the calotypes and a copy of Bedford Lemere's photo of Rawdon House.
I will also try to append all the reseach information.
Please let me have your thoughts.
Kind regards,
Meir
