Hello Karen from Singapore where I am on holidays but of course doing further research on Asia-Pacific photography. My big treat today is a visit to a fabulous private collection of SE Asian photography. Collectors and researchers in Asia are growing in number. I am making a start on a longer term project on Pictorialism in Asia-Pacific.

cheers Gael

In Canberra at the Churchill Fellowship offices the re should be a copy of Alan Davies Churchill Fellowship research report on Australian photographs in UK collections. I have meant to ask to make a copy for ages so will do so when I return in late October. There is also a British researcher looking at anthropological collections ( not Elizabeth Edwards) and their holdings. I will check her name. I guess you have checked Pitt River's Museum.

Greetings Karen
Many thanks for your note...I will certainly keep my eyes peeled for any mention, or examples, of Sweet's work. Alerted to such a memorable name he is bound to pop up before too long!

All best wishes.........Roger
