Information and discussion on all aspects of British photographic history
As the leading organization dedicated to the history, technology, art, and preservation of 19th-century photography, The Daguerreian Society is pleased to invite you to participate in three virtual photography fairs this year. These events build on the success of the Society’s collaboration with Marvin Getman’s Impact Events Group last fall during the Society’s annual Symposium.
Our first virtual photo fair of 2022 will be February 25-27. The second will be May 19-22, coinciding with AIPAD’s Photography Show in New York. And the third will be Oct. 28-30 during the Daguerreian Society Symposium in Chicago.
This is your opportunity to access a broad international audience of buyers – collectors, museum professionals, historians, fellow dealers, and others – including many you might never have a chance to see at an in-person show.
Last fall’s virtual photography fair was a resounding success. Dealers made sales in all price ranges, including one image (a daguerreotype) that was listed for $150,000. It was sold by a dealer who had never done a Daguerreian Society photo fair before!
Impact Events Group and the Daguerreian Society have compiled email lists of over 25,000 photograph, book, and ephemera collectors, ensuring that your offerings will be seen by a wide range of serious buyers.
These shows will offer an extensive selection of quality daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, tintypes, CDVs, cabinet cards, stereoviews, albums, photographic books/ephemera, and other items related to 19th- and early 20th-century photography. With images ranging from fine art photography to vernacular snapshots, there promises to be something for everyone!
Pricing options per show:
27 items (plus 3 extras) - $250
36 items (plus 6 extras) - $300
48 items (plus 6 extras) - $325
All transactions take place between buyer and seller. The platform lists dealer information so deals are made directly with you. Unlike other online sales and auctions, dealers keep 100% of the proceeds – there is NO COMMISSION.
