Event Description

The Annual Daguerreian Society Conference itself will begin with tours on Wednesday, Oct. 19th and a Grand Reception on Thursday night, Oct. 20th.

There is a separate pre-conference symposium on "How the 19th-century Is the Basis for All Subsequent Photographic Art" on Thursday.

The full-day conference speakers' program on 19th-century photography itself will take place on Friday, Oct. 21st, and will kick off with a keynote speech by Jeffrey Rosenheim of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

The Society's Annual Business Meeting is scheduled for immediately after the sessions.

There are also several smaller gallery receptions planned for later Friday evening at both Hans Kraus, Jr. Gallery and Howard Greenberg Gallery.

Following The 19th-Century Photography Show and on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 22nd, the Society will have its annual cocktail party and banquet, followed by the Society's live charity auction.

Photography-oriented tours are planned for both Wednesday, Oct. 19th and Sunday, Oct. 23rd.

You don't want to miss this spectacular event.  The 19th-century Photography Show on Saturday, Oct. 22nd in NYC will have 100 top photo dealers from ten countries participating.  It will be the world's largest show ever for 19th-century Photography with booths and table tops.
