Event Description

Throughout the history of photography, still life has been a source of inspiration and expression. This exhibition builds on the rich tradition, symbolic nature and history of still life, whilst considering its formal and aesthetic conventions.

The exhibition is drawn exclusively from our Photography Collection and includes photographs by Ansel Adams, Harold Edgerton, Roger Fenton, Edward Steichen, William Henry Fox Talbot and Madame Yevonde, as well as contemporary photographers such as Chris Killip and Don McCullin.
