photomonth is a celebration of photography. In 2010 there are over 200 exhibitions and events in East London and beyond.
Now into its tenth year, the annual festival of all things lens-based takes over the usual haunts of trenderised east London over the next two months.
There are over 200 events and exhibitions to browse through, and as ever the best way of stumbling across the most interesting ones is to pick up the free programme, available in hipster bars and drainpipe jean emporia across Shoreditch, Spitalfields and beyond right now.
One of the highlights is the BJP International Photography Award at the AOP Gallery from 1st - 6th November. In an event overburdened with awards, this one, curated by the British Journal of Photography, the world's oldest magazine dedicated to the medium, should be a cut above.
If not, there's always, the website here.
