The Daguerreian Society is hosting our 3rd annual affordable photography fair for collectors, curators, galleries and dealers. Once again the Fair will offer a broad range of historical photography through cutting edge contemporary photography. The show will be held AIPAD weekend at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, on Saturday April 4, 2020.
Top international dealers will present tables of exceptional affordable material, showcasing the offerings as they have at other shows such as at AIPAD, Paris Photo, Photo LA, Gettysburg Civil War Show, D.C. Antique Photo Show and our annual Daguerreian Society Symposia. A special room will be devoted to Military Images Magazine, and The Civil War Photos Collectors Society. Our show includes dealers in the 19th, 20th and 21st century photographs and books, including images from the highest levels of the art to vernacular snapshots. Collectible books, historical prints, and related material will also be available. In addition, the fair will offer a live collodion studio, and workshop to help attendees identify photographic print formats, ranging from vintage salt prints to platinum prints.
The fair will host a tintype studio once again this year featuring a New York City working street artist. Justin Borucki has been shooting portraits on the streets of SoHO, Brooklyn, the New Jersey shore and elsewhere for many years. Please visit www.nyphotographyfair.com for more information.
