    This one is Lightning Photographic Co (Western) . They were a D&P works and I believe they were trading until the mid 1970s. You would imagine "Lightning" was an indication of speedy service but it's possible this is a surname, as a family called Lightning were in the D&P trade in Diss Norfolk in the 1970s.
  • Lightning Photographic Co were a developing and printing works in Torquay. They advertised in the Western Morning News for staff in 1925 and later during the 1940s. The envelope was supplied by Ilford Ltd as an advertisement for their "Selo"brand films. It appears that Lightning were involved in the D&P trade undertaking processing and printing for amateurs and the general public. Surprisingly an invoice of theirs is for sale on eBay at the moment.
