Photography in Victorian industry

Hello,

I am currently researching the photography department of the Coalbrookdale Company ironworks. The ironworks was based in Shropshire and ran from 1709-2017. I believe there was a photographer at the ironworks from at least 1855. The museum which holds the collection relating to the ironworks has thousands of glass plate negatives taken by the photographers - each new item made by Coalbrookdale was photographed (both as a company record and to prevent rivals from copying their designs) - as well as work diaries compiled by the photographers. These all date to c. 1880 - c.1910.

I am trying to find comparative examples - does anyone know of other Victorian manufacturers that had their own photography departments?

Any pointers in the right direction would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Georgina
