Tony - your recollections are not quite accurate - although I appreciate that it was a long time ago !!


The person in the photograph is Dr Sartaj Jouhar (my grandfather) - he died in 1963. He had 2 sons - Sultan (who owned Brunel Photography and who died in 1975) and Akbar (my father, who was also a Doctor and who died in 2000)

I knew Tan (Sultan) in the early 60s in Teddington. His son ran Brunel photography at 47 York Street Twickenham, which had previously been the premises of Thomas S Day, pneumatic shutter maker. There was another brother who was a heart specialist in Scotland. Does anyone have any contact with the family still?
