Ron Reid (30th July 1933 – 11 March 1997) was an Australian photographer who moved to England in 1966 and documented the burgeoning alternative society, particularly in and around the music scene, which vividly express the freedom and hope of those years. Melancholy Witness Images from The Troubles Photographs by Seán Hillen at Kamera 8 Gallery

Seán was in the middle of the troubles then and with his camera right in the focal points of military and para-military activities he managed to document the daily horrors with a keen eye and a steady hand.
