I have scanned the two photographs and can't see how to send them to you. If you let me have your e-mail address I can e-mail them. Mine is zelfahourani@gmail.com

Hi Laura,

Here is the exhibition catalogue. There were (I think) several articles in Colvilles Magazine (I don't have a full run of the 1950s issues while I work from home). I will post scans of those when I have gone through them. Image no.43 in the catalogue must be from that series. I would love to know where those photos are as they would make a wonderful exhibition here in Lanarkshire.

Having looked-up Adolf Morath's address on streetview I see you are correct that the exhibition was not held there!

Best wishes,

Justin

Dear Laura,

I did not go with Morath to the middle East but another female student from the Ealing School of Photography did. I cannot remember her name but Michael Brown who is now head of the School may be able to find out.

michael@picturehouse.org I do remember seeing a photograph of a wellhead.

I also remember Charlotte Marx as far as I am aware she and her mother managed to escape from Nazi Germany and came to England she taught me colour printing at Ealing, which was the work she did for Morath. I think that she then became the chief colour printer for the BBC. Gilly Read
