Good to be linked up with you as a friend, David. My interest in this area started with meeting the late Eddie Chandler in the Dublin Camera Club over 35 years ago. Then, the pressures of career and working outside of Ireland led me away from this area. Now that I am retired and with my involvement on the Board of the Gallery of Photography as well as my various other photographic and collecting interests, I would like to contribute something to an area which interests me greatly. When all of the Covid business becomes manageable, we should meet up for a talk sometime, starting with the issue of the various collections of Irish Photography which are in many different locations. I had been meaning to contact you for some time, but now is as good a time as ever to start.

Hi David, I have been in the Archive and looked at some daguerrotypes there that I think may have been donated by your late friend. I'll inquire from them re documentation relating to notes for his book, etc. If you have a further source I would be very interested to hear of it. Thank you, David

But, but... you are Irish!

OK, me too.
