British photographic history

Information and discussion on all aspects of British photographic history

We've inherited a delightful little press - the smallest I've seen with a plate size of just 8 3/4 x 11 inches. It's suggested this is for cabinet cards and wondered if any-one has come across a press like this? Many thanks!

I wonder why anyone thinks it has a photographic connection. It seems more likely a regular stationary or book press to me. The presses I have seen in 19th century card mounted photography are cameo presses for cdvs but I will be interested in what others think. Cheers! Marcel
