British photographic history

Information and discussion on all aspects of British photographic history

Hi to the list members from Australia,

I am interested in the above gent as he was a younger brother of my GG Grandfather.
He was born in London and died in Malta and left a collection of thousands of glass plates which still survive today in Valetta Malta.

My main query is this,,,, would he have been registered or belong to any Photographic Associations in UK whilst living in Malta ?

Any hints welcomed,

Regards Yvonne Marshall in Melbourne OZ

Hi Yvonne. I stumbled over this query which i realize was posted some time back.  I have had the opportunity to picture research in the RE archive to complete a publishing project which is now closed with the 5th and last book of this edition published last year.  As far as i know Richard did not belong to any Photographic Associations in the UK. However he was appointed official photographer of KGV and a copy of the warranty was published in the first edition of these publications.

Anything else, let me know
