I was wondering if anyone could help me date the photograph attached. The first photo in the frame is mine, the last one labeled "Alinari Internet Photograph" is one I found on the internet. Everything about the two photos are the same except the poses of the men in the boat, so I am assuming both these pictures were taken at the same time. The internet photo was dated 1890 and had "Anderson's" name associated with it. Since it was dated 1890 I am pretty sure Domenico Anderson took the photo since his father James Anderson died in 1877. I am thinking it might be a reproduction done in the early 1900's by Anderson or by Alinari since they bought the rights to Anderson's negatives. The size of the picture is 36 cm x 54 cm (14-1/2" x 21-1/2"). One of the pictures attached shows what's left of a framing label to which I have had no luck identifying. The label has the number "83" hand written on it, there might have been more to it. Alinari in Italy is going to check their archive to see what they can find for me, but I have yet to hear anything back yet. If someone has any information about the photo or label let me know.
Thanks! Jeff

At this time Alinari in Florence, Italy has not been able to verify this photo with any in their archive. They have a thought that this photo might have been a second release that they do not have a record of. It sounds like they are going to do a little more research to see if they can find out anything.
