Finding a home for portrait photographs

I have a Derbyshire-based topographical collection but have been approached by an older lady wanting to pass on about 60-odd portrait shots - carte de visites, cabinet cards and postcards - which she wants to pass on to a suitable collection. They aren't something I'm interested in as they are from studios across the UK, and there are no names for the people in the photographs - she collected them for the fashions worn by the subjects. Is there an appropriate organisation I could approach with theses items? The lady in question is more concerned that they go to an apropriate collection than particularly getting money for them, although she's hoping that the new owners might consider giving a donation to a local charity she supports.

Any suggestions as to an appropriate collection/organisation I could approach about these?
