I am researching Lady Rose Caroline Graves Sawle who lived at Penrice House, St Austell and want to find her photographic work.

In 1908 she privately published “Sketches” from her diaries between 1833 and 1896 in which she recounts her visit to Egypt 1875-76.  The Cornwall Artists Index indicates her as a professional photographer in 1876, exhibiting her portfolio of Egyptian views and winning a medal. Charles Thomas, in “Views and Likeness”, lists professional photographers in Cornwall between 1871 and 1900 with a reference to Lady Graves Sawle being mentioned in the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society catalogue 1876.

I have contacted the RCPS but they have none of her work.

Can any one assist?
