Information and discussion on all aspects of British photographic history
Hello BPH community,
My recent PhD thesis is now available electronically, entitled 'Bindings, Boundaries and Cuts: Relating Agency and Ontology in Photobook Encounters'
https://ethos.bl.uk/OrderDetails.do?did=1&uin=uk.bl.ethos.869587
The research touches on photobook use and theory, with case studies of photobooks in museum and library collections, exhibitions, book fairs, and other institutional environments of photography.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or feedback, briony.carlin@newcastle.ac.uk
My recent work is focussing on contemporary photobooks by women, and I would be glad to hear from researchers or curators with similar interests.
