Recently, I purchased a photo with the following description:
“His Excellency Mr Quo Tai Chi - Chinese Ambassador in London 1930's - large studio portrait bearing full title and description, plus the Lafayette specimen stamp & reference number written to reverse. Actual photo size (excluding mount) measures 38.5cm x 29.5cm. Original Lafayette specimen archive copy bearing Lafayette signature in pencil. Original Lafayette photograph.”
What does it mean by“Original Lafayette specimen archive copy”?
I would be very grateful if you could help me to find more information about Lafayette?
