I am looking for information regarding a photographer named John Wood. He was born around 1817 in England and then immigrated to the United States prior to 1857 where he took up residence in the Washington D.C. area. I have not been able to find any information about him prior to his immigration but am fairly certain he worked as a photographer before coming to the US. Any leads would be most welcome! Thank you!
