British photographic history

Information and discussion on all aspects of British photographic history

Hello,

My name is Patrícia Ferreira and I´m a 1st-year student at the Master´s Degree in Conservation and Restoration, at the Faculty of Science and Technology (Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia - FCT) from New University of Lisbon (Portugal). As part of the curricular unit Project II, I made a questionnaire about Telephotography, a photographic typology about which there is not much information yet. This questionnaire is addressed to people and institutions that have Telephotography and takes less than 5 minutes to answer. It aims to obtain more information about the Telephotographys and the best way to preserve it.
If you know what Telephotography is/have this typology in your collection, you can answer here: https://forms.gle/suCF5GALSfU8ciMh7
If you have any information that you think is relevant, please tell me!
Fell free to share this questionnaire!
Thank you for your collaboration,
Patrícia Ferreira

Hi Patricia. The photo looks like an early (and very robust) drum scanner. It was used to scan a photographic print. There would have been a similar writing system at the other end of the line.

Hope this helps.
