The photo of a lifetime

Which historical photograph would you most liked to have taken?
If you could have photographed any event in history, what would it be?

I'm working on a project to demonstrate the history of photography and I would be interested to know which events in history people would like to have photographed.

  • Which camera would you use? As a challenge, was it the oldest camera that would do the job?

  • A shot along the goal line at the 1966 World Cup final, to definitively prove it, one way or the other.
  • William the Conqueror at the point of victory at the Battle of Hastings, the point at which England changed forever in so many ways
