It's interesting what you say about the use of glass plate negs by astronomers. I'm sure I've seen this somewhere before and your message reminded me of it. Amazing that it continued right up to recent times and using 14 inch plates. I'll pass this info on to the Project Officer, Abby Matthews.
I used to be the Project Manager but my post as archivist was deleted just over a year ago but as you can see I still have an interest in the project and do my best to promote it. We've come across so many other glass plate negative projects since stating out on The Past on Glass four years ago.
