Hi Felicity... R.V.Green had his very very first studio with his brother A.V.Green in 1861 and traded as Swanswell Portrait rooms. R.V. then went solo in 1862 and opened a studio in white street most probably operating from his house. He later had a purpose built studio next to his house and I have a photo of it but don’t think I can add photos on here? He operated from that studio until his death in 1907. So he is credited with being one of the longest serving photographers in Coventry (1861-1907). During this period he opened a second studio in Broadgate from 1879-1891.
