      HI Charles the plate size is 41/4" x 61/4"or 10.8 x 15.8 cm half plateish. Yes the back does rotate.

      Hi Charles I still own the Circumbra, the depth when folded is 9cm or 31/2", the depth of a standard field camera is 71/2cm or 3" so there is no gain for this design? As you said it takes the usual D/D slides.

Charles Chapuis.  Thank you for the comment on the Circumbra I am also surprised that no one else commented as to my knowledge this is the only Photograph of a Circumbra, there are line drawings but no Photos and only the info that I posted. I like the shutters you have used as your avitar some of your collection??
